Animator

For my History of New Media class, we have been given a project for our final assessment. The project is about producing a Interactive Multimedia CD for Multimedia Course in UMK. I was given a task as an Animator.

What will I do as an animator?Do you know? Let's knowing about it....

Animator is an artist who creates multiple images called frames and key frames that form an illusion of movement called animation when rapidly displayed. Animators can work in variety of field including film, television, video games and internet. It depends on the animator artistic styles.

So, for our final project soon, I 'll be as a Flash animator. I think I need to create my own style and more creative. To all my friends,, please supporting me and giving your advices and I hope we can do it perfectly.Okay guys, I will do my best working together with all of you to came out with an awesome work. Yeah!!

Contemporary Art

Tan Beng Swee Clock tower

I have choose this artwork as a subject matter for contemporary art. I was taken it in UMK open hall. It is an artwork was created by UMK students produced by using Illustrator and Photoshop.

What is special about this artwork??

The elements of art in this artwork attracted me to choose this artwork. This artwork expressing about a historical city in Malacca. The red color of the building looks very beautiful and realistic. In this artwork, it also express about a traditional transport in Malacca called trishaw. Trishaw is very popular among the tourist to round along the historic city.

History of Tan Beng Swee Clock tower

Located at Dutch Square in the heart of Malacca town. It was built by Tan Jiak Kim in 1886 in memory of his father Tan Beng Swee. It is the oldest clock tower in Malaysia and it is beside Christ Church Malacca.

Malaysian Digital Artist - Aadi Salman

I have choose Aadi Salman as my favourite digital artist. Aadi Salman a.k.a Adijin was born on February 12, 1982 is a Malaysian Artist currently lives and works in Quebec City, Canada.

He is a Malaysian Comic Artist,Illustrator and concept artist. Aadi Salman or well known as Adijin is no stranger to local and international digital art scene. His diverse experiences handling digital painting and Illustration for publications and animation house made him as a household name.One of his notable works are for IDW Publishing / Kanomi's Silent Hill: dying Inside for issue 3-5.

Aadi Salman is also great supporter of Digital Malaya and had recently submit to a great masterpiece for the upcoming Mekar Mara #2.Malaysian can get the comic Komiko #5 where Aadi did a cover art for it and he his regular comic strips. He is one of most reference artists for young illustrators and people here and around the world.

Why I choose him??

Great!! I love his style because he can produce artworks that looks alive. He draw figures perfectly from any angel. He used colors and lighting very well. It makes his artworks interact people to watch them. I really enjoyed his art and always make it as an example to my works. I always have such a range of good things also influence in my art.

New Media Art

NEW MEDIA ART

New media art is genre that produce artworks created with new media technologies. It is including digital art, computer graphics, computer animation, virtual art, internet art technologies and others.

New media art often involves interaction between artist and observer. Nowadays, we as the technologies user must deliver works of new media art. There are many types of new media art such as film, tapes, web browser, software and operation systems became obsolete, new media art faces serious issues around the challenge to preserve artwork beyond the time of its contemporary production.

Famous new media artists from art history that created works using new mediums like digital devices, manmade plastics, glass and perishable mediums. We have not used the term “New Media Art” as a formal art medium, but have grouped a lot of different that could easily fit into other categories. The main defining requirement to be listed in the category is that the artist used mostly nontraditional media like paint, stone or wood. They are using media which are not existed before, new founding or created media and many to come in the future.

Younger generation will always ahead of the older. This is because times passed by, and the older u get, the modern this world will be. I believe that creativity will never stop. It will always be born with new kinds of methods that is beyond our imaginations.

Graffiti Art

What is graffiti art? What are you thinking about graffiti art? Graffiti is the name for images or lattering scratched,scrawled, painted or marked in any manner or property. Maybe most of people have negative perception on graffiti art because of social problem and vandalism among teenagers. It's true that there are teenagers who do graffiti art on school's wall, bus stop and anywhere they want to do.
Graffiti is any type of public makings that may appear in the forms of simple written words to elaborate wall paintings. Graffiti is already existed since ancient times, for example dating back to Ancient Greece and Roman Empire. In modern times, the most commonly used materials are like spray paint, normal paint and markers.

There is also a kind of art that implants good message for the people such as khat's graffiti art. Its delivers peace message for other people who is hates a war. Nowadays, many types of graffiti art can we see in the world especially in town. Some people often leave their traces in wet cement or concrete as a memorial. It's one of graffiti art we can found.
